& imagine her weeping
lay down the drama
a car in parts still
dredged soil
where did you last
apply ice
thirty years from
nudity rated
all ears i see
forsake such sense
the masks removed

Ellen Boyette is a poet and student of the Occult and lover of all small things. She received her MFA in Poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her first book of poetry, BEDIEVAL, was a finalist at Slope Editions, CSU Press, and Inside the Castle.
