Yara Zgheib is the author of No Land to Light On, which was longlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize and chosen by The Washington Post, The L.A. Times, and Newsweek among the top ten books of 2022.  Her debut novel, The Girls at 17 Swann Street, was a Barnes and Noble and Indie Next pick for Best Book of 2019. She is the author of two poetry collections that have been adapted into musical albums: Chasing Comets and City Rhapsodies, and her work has been published in The Huffington Post, Glimmer Train, Lithub, Holiday, The European, and elsewhere.

Yara is the recipient of the 2023 Rose Metal Prize for her forthcoming book, Dust and Ions, a novel-in-music-and-poetry written with composer Alex Wakim. Her new novel, Why Paris., is also forthcoming. She was born in Beirut and lives in Paris, and her heart is in both places.
